Jennifer Lopez Allegedly Wanted To Wed Ben Affleck Before He Changed His Mind
Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49, are officially Mr. and Mrs. Affleck just three months after they got engaged. Several sources claimed that they had no plans to wed anytime soon, so many were shocked that they got married in Sin City over the weekend.
According to a well-placed Hollywood source, the Let's Get Loud singer wanted to make their relationship official and legal.
"[Lopez] has been ready to get married since the night that Ben proposed. She wanted to lock this down and remove any chance for cold feet ASAP!" an insider told The Post's Page Six.
The newlyweds exchanged vows with Affleck's daughter Seraphina, 13, and Lopez's daughter Emme, 14. They celebrated the event with pizza and diet Coke on a private jet back to Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Affleck shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, Violet, 16, Samuel, 10, and Seraphina. Meanwhile, the singer-actress shares 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Ben Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner is busy with her Apple+ thriller The Last Thing He Told Me. She was reportedly enjoying Lake Tahoe over the weekend when her ex-husband married Lopez. The Miracles from Heaven actress has remained mum about Affleck and J.Lo's Las Vegas wedding.
However, she has maintained a good relationship with her ex-husband. She even stood by Affleck through his battles with addiction. Page Six's source also said that the Argo star informed her about their nuptials.
"Ben did tell Jen about the wedding, but I’m told that it was only Friday at the earliest," the source said. "It was very, very minimally planned in advance and was largely spur of the moment. Violet stayed home because she’s extremely loyal to her mom."
Garner has an amicable relationship with Lopez and her kids too. The blended family even spent Halloween together last year at Huckleberry café in Santa Monica.
"Everyone gets along and the focus is always on the kids. Jennifer, Ben and Jen Garner all wanted the kids to have an amazing Halloween," an unnamed source told People. "The kids are friends and wanted to go trick-or-treating together. It made sense that they all went together."
Lopez and Affleck have been spotted in multiple outings with Garner's children. The Peppermint star was also photographed with Lopez's daughter Emme weeks after her and Affleck's engagement was reported.
