Jeffrey Dean Morgan Says Michael Keaton Stole Batman Role in The Flash Movie

There is little doubt that fans are currently celebrating Michael Keaton's return as Batman in The Flash movie. However, there is one person who isn't too happy about the news. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has just stated that Keaton stole the role of the Dark Knight from him in the upcoming DC Extended Universe flick.

It's no secret that The Flash will adapt the Flashpoint storyline from the comic books so there have been speculations that the movie will feature the alternate timeline where Thomas Wayne becomes Batman. Not surprisingly, Morgan loved that idea and was possibly hoping to be brought back as Bruce Wayne's father in the movie. However, Keaton's casting appears to have erased the need for the older Wayne in the film.

Interestingly, Morgan isn't very happy about the idea of missing out on the Batman role. He recently took part in The Walking Dead's panel at Comic-Con@Home where he spoke about losing the juicy role to Keaton.

"Michael Keaton swooped in and took my gig," Morgan told Comicbook.com. However, he also made it clear that he was only joking.

"Naw, I think that's super cool. Ever since Zack Snyder walked away, my whole kind of bit in that world has walked away with him," Morgan stated. Interestingly, he then added that there are still ongoing discussions.

"However, there's always a chat going on. So, we'll see!" he concluded.

Could this mean we'll be seeing two different Batmans in The Flash? It might seem like too much but it's possible considering that the film is set to explore different timelines. For now, we'll have to wait for an update from Warner Bros.
