Kevin Smith Shares A Better Look at Val Kilmer's Bluntman in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot

Kevin Smith is a huge comic book fan, and it shows in all of his work. His next movie, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, features a new version of Smith's Batman ripoff Bluntman, and it's great that Smith managed to nab ex-Caped Crusader Val Kilmer to take on the role. Just in, Smith shares this new photo of Kilmer in costume.

What's interesting is, the movie also has Supergirl Melissa Benoist playing the new female Chronic, so that means Smith managed to get two DC stars to cameo as in-universe superheroes in his film. That's only the tip of the iceberg though, as the movie is also getting appearances from Joe Manganiello, Justin Long, Kate Micucci, and the God of Thunder himself Chris Hemsworth.

If you read the caption, Kilmer was said to be having voice trouble when he came on board for the film, but it was actually perfect since the Bluntman character is based on Silent Bob—and Silent Bob doesn't speak (most of the time). No doubt Kilmer's Bluntman will also be quiet, but I kind of wish he had that Kevin Smith goatee. I guess they really wanted the audience to really know that this was Kilmer in the role.
