Jason Momoa and James Wan Wanted to Keep Amber Heard in Aquaman 2

As the Johnny Depp v Amber Heard defamation trial continues to go on, we're also starting to hear some interesting information about the actress' alleged screentime in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom based on the testimonies given by people who took the witness stand. Now, another testimony has revealed more alleged information regarding Heard's involvement in the DCEU sequel.

Per TheWrap, Kathryn Arnold, who described herself as an "entertainment industry consultant" when she testified last Monday on the trial, told the court that Heard was removed from the upcoming film's promotional events as well as participating in the DC FanDome event.

"Ms. Heard was not invited to be either in the poster or to be at the [FanDome] event, and, in fact, they told her she cannot come," she said.

Arnold also revealed some interesting details regarding Heard's screentime in the upcoming film to which she said that there were efforts to completely remove the actress from the film, but she was able to nab some support from her co-star Jason Momoa and director James Wan, who fought to keep her.

"In February 2021, there were conversations that Amber’s, I’m going to be technical with you, her option for employment was not going to be exercised. So they may not have hired her again," she said. "Her management team fought very hard and they ultimately ended up hiring her, but not only because of what her management did, but also because star Jason Momoa and director James Wan committed to her."

The claims that Arnold made in her testimony are in alignment with what Heard previously said on the stand. DC Films president Walter Hamada is set to take a stand virtually on Tuesday as he was called by Depp's legal team to be a rebuttal witness and is expected to testify against Heard's claims regarding her reduced involvement in the upcoming film.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 17, 2023.
