Japanese Children's Show Will Share Pokémon News That Will 'Shock the World'

It looks like the upcoming Pokemon Switch games, which may be called Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee could be revealed sooner than we thought. Japanese children's show Oha Suta has stated that there would be brand-new information about Pokemon on May 31 and it will ‘shock the world.'

According to the show's official website (via Gematsu), the new information will not be about the current Sun and Moon anime, though new tidbits on the series will be revealed. However, it is kept separate from the world-shocking news, so unless characters from the anime will appear in Oha Suta, we could get our first look at these new games.

While the news could be related to something else, the fact that E3 is so close and information on the game will be shared soon has to mean that this isn't a coincidence. Nintendo is already accepting registrations from fans who want to see news about a new Pokemon game, so if this announcement is about anything else, it will be a huge disappointment.

Rumor has it that Pokemon Switch will take players back to the Kanto region and focus on the original 151 monsters. That's definitely one way to get lapsed fans interested in this series again.

No official release date has been given, though one should be coming soon.
