Jamie Foxx is reportedly recovering and improving after suffering from a mysterious “medical complication.” On Tuesday, April 11, the actor’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, announced the shocking news about her father’s health emergency.
Foxx was busy filming his upcoming new movie, Back in Action, which also serves as Cameron Diaz’s comeback film. However, his health condition put the movie’s production to a halt.
Jamie Foxx is Now on the Mend
A source told People that the 55-year-old is “steadily improving.”
Foxx released an official statement about her dad’s health in a post on Instagram.
'We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," it read.

"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," it continued. "The family asks for privacy during this time."
However, the 29-year-old didn’t reveal any details about Foxx’s medical condition.
His rep also didn’t respond to the requests for comment.
Stopping Back in Action’s Filming
Meanwhile, before Foxx’s medical emergency, he was recently seen filming Back in Action.
Another source told People that the movie’s set was shut down on Wednesday, April 12, after the comedian’s health scare.
However, filming continued on Thursday, April 13, with a stand-in for Foxx on set.

In an email that the outlet obtained, a casting director told the film’s extras that a scene they were about to do on Sunday, April 16, was canceled due to “changes in production.”
Though that scene wouldn’t be rescheduled, the filming schedule on Monday, April 17, and Tuesday, April 18, would resume as planned.
Cameron Diaz’s Comeback Movie
Back in Action will mark Diaz’s return to the big screen after the 2014 Annie remake, which also happened to star Foxx.
The two were spotted filming some scenes for the movie in London several times in recent months before they were later seen in Atlanta with Glenn Close.
A different source told People that Foxx played a big role in making the actress return to the big screen.

"When this project came along and she was pursued by Jamie Foxx, who she has known and worked with for years, she decided to go for it," the insider revealed.
Foxx also told Entertainment Tonight that he persuaded the Charlie’s Angels star to “come out of retirement” for the Netflix movie by ensuring her that “they would have a good time.”
"It was literally, 'Do you wanna have some fun? Just have some fun!' And I think that's what brought her to it," he said.
