James Gunn Shares Top 10 Underrated Films to Watch During COVID-19 Self-Isolation

Are you stuck at home with nothing to do due to the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19)? It's easy to spend the time streaming your favorite films and shows but James Gunn recommends that you should try some underrated movies for a change. The Suicide Squad director actually shared a list of powerful flicks that you can watch at home.

Gunn posted his list on his official Twitter account along with a cool description of each film. Take a look at his tweet below.

"10 GREAT MOVIES YOU LIKELY HAVEN'T SEEN TO STREAM WHILE YOU SELF-QUARANTINE. It's important for the health of our world to practice social distancing as much as possible. In the service of you doing this & in the hopes you will, I've come up with this list," Gunn wrote before adding the hashtag #QuarantineAndChill.

Interestingly, the list includes several international movies including one from Academy Award winner Bong Joon-ho (no, Parasite is not in the list). Here's every film that Gunn listed down.

1. Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969) – directed by Paul Mazursky
2. Villainess (2017) – directed by Jung Byung-gil
3. Pretty Poison (1968) – directed by Noel Black
4. The Wanderers (1979) – directed by Philip Kaufman
5. Mother (2009) – directed by Bong Joon-ho
6. One Cut of the Dead (2017) – directed by Shinichirou Ueda
7. Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call – New Orleans (2009) – directed by Werner Herzog
8. The Yellow Sea (2010) – directed by Na Hong-jin
9. Hail the Conquering Hero (1944) - directed by Preston Sturges
10. Duck You Sucker (A Fistful of Dynamite) (1971) – directed by Sergio Leone

It's a great list considering that most of us have probably never seen these movies. It also gives you a lot of options to choose from and offers something from almost every available genre.

Gunn has just wrapped up production on The Suicide Squad and is expected to begin working on Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 by the end of the year.
