We're a year away from the release of Marvel Studios' third Guardians of the Galaxy film but it's already safe to say that it's going to be an emotional ride. If you haven't heard yet, director James Gunn himself confirmed that the upcoming project will be his final outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before he turns his attention to his other films and shows.

While we still know very little about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, a lot of rumors surrounding the project have been circulating all over the internet with the latest being that Adam Warlock will be getting a drastic makeover for the sequel.

Now, James Gunn is calling out the originator of the rumor Chippu, debunking their report about Adam's live-action look. On Twitter, Gunn retweeted an article from The Direct which has now been updated calling the original report "absolute bullsh*t". Check it out below:

Despite dismissing the said rumor, Gunn still didn't spill out details about Adam's live-action look but a few months back, photos from the set of GOTG Vol. 3 revealed comic-accurate looks for both Star-Lord and Nebula who are now donning their trademark Guardians uniform.

Judging by that alone, it would be safe to assume that Adam Warlock himself will also be getting a look faithful to his comic book roots. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently scheduled to hit cinemas on May 5, 2023.
