James Gunn Has No Plans for Guardians of the Galaxy 3

When asked by fans on Facebook about the possibility of a Guardians of the Galaxy 3, director James Gunn replied that he currently had no real plans. He also said that "I haven't made up my mind yet what I'm doing next." In the same question-and answer session, he clarified, "Do I have plans for a potential 'Vol. 3?' Yeah, if I did it -- but I'm not sure if I will."

Gunn has previously stated on his Facebook that Guadians of the Galaxy 2 isn't connected to any other movies or sequels in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also said that it won't involve Thanos or the Infinity Stones, which play a big role in other upcoming Marvel movies. "There will be infinity nothing. It's a story about the Guardians, and isn't meant to lead to anything else."

Gunn addressed some other questiions in the session as well. When asked about working with Chris Pratt, who plays the lead Peter Quil in the GotG movies, he said "Chris is one of my closes friends in the world, and I love working with him." He also answered some more general questions, like his favorite female comic book character. It's the Cassandra Cain version of Batgirl, which I have to say is a pretty excellent choice.

Alas, he also revealed there's no chance of him making a Deadpool and Rocket Raccoon crossover movie.

I feel like there will definitely be a Guardians of the Galaxy 3, whether James Gunn makes it or not. Hopefully a new director would be just as good or better. Would you like to see Gunn make another Guadians or would you like a new director?
