It's been a couple of months since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the newly-established DC Studios but the duo has yet to reveal their actual plans for the DC Universe. This week, a new report seemed to shed light on their grand scheme, including WB Discovery's stance on Ezra Miller's future as the "Fastest Man Alive".

According to another bombshell report from Variety, some of WB Discovery's executives are open to the idea of keeping the actor on board as he's managed to stay away from trouble. It's also worth mentioning that the most recent test screenings for The Flash have been generally positive, with Hollywood insiders convinced that it will be a box-office success for the company.

Gunn, who is known for his honesty when it comes to the projects he's working on quickly took to Twitter to address the matter. Responding to the report surrounding Ezra's potential future post-The Flash, the DC Studios offered a vague answer and said: "I don’t know what’s out there about Ezra".

The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker director would then confirm that they're currently working on the DCU's 10-year slate but will only be announcing "some of it this month". Check it out here:

It's quite interesting how Gunn seems to be playing coy about Ezra's status all of a sudden, especially when he wasn't afraid to tell the world that they've officially cut ties with Henry Cavill. Does this mean that there's validity to the reports about Ezra potentially staying in the DCU? We don't know for sure.

The Flash is scheduled for release on June 23, 2023.
