The DC Extended Universe is widely regarded as a colossal failure but that's not to say that everything that came out of it was a flop. One of the franchise's biggest wins is Margot Robbie's casting as Harley Quinn and while all of her live-action outings didn't exactly hit the mark commercially, her performance as the beloved DC anti-hero is still lauded by fans as the then-DCEU's redeeming qualities.

As it stands, we still don't know what the future holds for the Australian star who currently experiencing a number of career milestones although previous reports claim that she, along with her The Suicide Squad castmates are safe from the DC Studios chopping block.

Unfortunately for fans of Robbie, it looks like you'll have to wait a little longer to see her "debut" appearance in the new DC Universe because as it turns out, there are no projects currently lined up for the Barbie star.

Earlier this week, a rumor began circulating all over social media that Robbie will star in her own series under the new DCU regime. Twitter scooper @DivinitySeeker1 claims that a prequel show titled "Harleen" is currently in the works, described as "the story of how her need to save the Joker led to her mind being shattered."

Co-CEO James Gunn quickly debunked the rumor, saying "there is not" a Harley Quinn project in the works. Check it out here:
