James Corden has already made a name for himself in the U.K. before getting widespread attention internationally, thanks to his talk show The Late Late Show. Today, he’s one of the most famous hosts in the industry and is also a known actor on TV and in movies and theater.

In the U.K., the 44-year-old is best known for co-writing and starring in the critically acclaimed BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey, which aired from 2007 to 2010. He won the BAFTA Television Award for Best Comedy Performance for this show.

From there, he collaborated with Dizzee Rascal on the No. 1 U.K. single “Shout” and joined the charity telethon Comic Relief in 2011, giving birth to his infamous Carpool Karaoke.

He then co-presented the Brit Awards with Kylie Minogue and Matthew Horne in 2009 and hosted the event solo between 2011 and 2014.

In 2015, the comedian rose to international prominence when he started hosting The Late Late Show with James Corden.
