Jacob Batalon Commemorates the Production Wrap of Spider-Man: Far from Home

Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) is a great addition to the world of Spider-Man, and he's set to make a return in the sequel Far from Home. The film has just recently wrapped filming, and Batalon has decided to commemorate the end of production with his own post:

Add to that, Batalon also posted up a compilation of some photos from the set:

Spider-Man: Homecoming saw a lot of changes when it came to the classic Spidey formula, and for one, we actually have Spider-Man working with people behind him. Ned himself has proven to be very useful behind the scenes, and now I can't imagine Spider-Man working without a ‘guy in the chair.' Heck, Ned was even the one who was able to remove the training wheels protocol on the Stark suit.

We don't know how much of Ned we'll be seeing in the sequel, but the way the title sounds, it looks like we're going to be seeing Peter Parker away from his comfort zone—meaning that he'll probably be separated from Ned. Though I know Ned's just the comic relief, I'm looking forward to more of Peter just being a teenager and having fun with his friends. Besides Ned and MJ, Peter's entire science bowl team is actually coming to Europe—add to that their coach Mr. Harrington.

We also don't know who he's playing, but J.B. Smoove's character has been spotted alongside the kids' inset photos. Some speculate that he's actually playing J. Jonah Jameson—future boss of Spider-Man and editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle.

Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters July 5, 2019.
