Jack Black Hilariously Walks Us Through His Prep Routine for ‘Jumanji 4’

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was a surprise hit for Sony, and the sequel is set to come out later this year. Jack Black is coming back to reprise his role as Professor Shelly Oberon in the sequel, and he gives us a hilarious in-depth look for his preparation for the film.

It's worth noting that though this is the third film in the Jumanji franchise, Black refers to it as the fourth film, since he counts Jon Favreau's Zathura as the first sequel; if you haven't checked that film out, it's basically Jumanji, but the theme has been flipped to space. Personally, I even thought it was better than Welcome to the Jungle.

Going back to Black's video though, we see him go through all the exercises to get ready for all the running and jumping he'll be doing in the movie. The video also includes Black's stuntman Jimmy Waitman, who has been working with Black for quite a while—even going so far as to work with him on Nacho Libre. He was also Black's stunt double for Welcome to the Jungle as well.

I have to say, when Black launched his Jablinski Games channel with his kids, I had no idea it would do so well. Though Black doesn't do any actual gaming for the channel, he absolutely brings it with his hilarious hijinks and natural charisma. I'm actually hoping we get to see more of him in the spotlight of Jumanji 3.

Jumanji 3 is set to come out Dec. 13.
