The former President of the United States, Donald Trump, confirmed the death of her ex-wife on social media, Truth Social. He also paid tribute to the mother of his three children in his post.
"She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life," he wrote, per BBC.
The official cause of death of Ivanka Trump's mom has yet to be determined. However, early reports from authorities claimed that she likely suffered a cardiac arrest, International Business Times reported.
A wellness check was done on Ivana Trump by the New York City police at her Manhattan townhouse. The officers investigated if she had fallen down the stairs.
According to them, there was no forced entry, and the death appeared accidental.
"Her health has been in decline over the past few years," an unnamed source told New York Post (per International Business Times).

Ivana Trump Planned For A Europe Trip Before Death
Ivana Trump's close friend Nikki Haskell was emotional when she spoke with Page Six about her Thursday. According to Haskell, she was supposed to travel to St. Tropez this weekend, and it was her first trip amid the COVID-19 pandemic because the socialite was "totally locked down" and "wouldn't go anywhere" for fear of contracting the virus.
"She was leaving for St. Tropez tomorrow. This was going to be her first trip away since the pandemic. She was afraid of getting the virus," Haskell told the outlet. "She was my best friend. I met her the night she met Donald… I can't even tell you how fabulous she was, just a great friend, and the most amazing, inspirational person."
Ivana limited her outings to nearby restaurants to keep herself away from COVID-19. However, shortly before her death, she was ready to travel abroad after being home for over two years.
"We were contemplating taking a trip around the world this January — take two months off and take a trip around the world. I just can't believe it," Haskell told the outlet. "She was really looking forward to going to Europe… We had so much fun with Ivana on the boat. She was my best friend."
