IU finds out a surprising detail about her boyfriend, Lee Jong Suk, as she talks about her new movie, Dream.
The idol-actress headlines the sports theme film alongside Park Seo Joon.
In an interview for the promotional activities of the movie, IU was told that Lee Jong Suk was among the choices to play the main lead in Dream.
IU Surprised About Lee Jong Suk Being Offered a Role in Dream
According to a media outlet, she was asked about her reaction to Lee Jong Suk being offered a role in the film.
Interestingly, IU revealed that she hadn't heard of that news.
"I just found out by you asking the question," she said, adding, "There is nothing I can tell you because I haven’t heard anything."
If IU’s boyfriend accepts the offer, Dream will be their first project after confirming their relationship.
To recall, just before welcoming 2023, Dispatch Korea released photos of IU and Lee Jong together along with news that they were dating.
Moreover, the outlet claimed that the new couple spent Christmas together in Nagoya, Japan, where they spent a three-day vacation at a luxury resort.
Shortly after the news broke, Lee Jong Suk’s agency, HighZium Studio, confirmed the dating rumors and shared that the actor and IU’s friendship "progressed from being close acquaintances into being a couple," adding that they are now in a serious relationship.
The statement was seconded by IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, and "asked for the warm reception of fans."
Following the news, IU spoke about her current situation with Lee Jong Suk.
As the interview continued, she shyly responded how "surprised" she is that people show support for her new relationship.
"I think fondly and quietly keeping this relationship going is the best way to repay that love," she added.

IU and Park Seo Joon’s Movie Dream
Due to the health restrictions brought on by the global pandemic, Dream officially premiered on April 26.
Headlined by Park Seo Joon and IU, the sports themed movie depicts the story of a group of amateur soccer players with head coach Yoon Hong Dae.
He used to be a famous soccer player but went on hiatus due to controversy.
Meanwhile, producing director Lee So Min (IU) wanted to capture the story behind his team and plans on making a documentary about them.
