IU Joins Gucci as their Newest Muse
The news came after the Italian high-end luxury fashion house shared a photo of IU on their official Instagram.
It was during her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 as her new movie Broker was invited to compete for the coveted Palme d'Or alongside the Korean film Decision to Leave.
According to the Maison, the Hallyu star was wearing a "Gucci gown with lace rebrodé petal details on the cuffs, as well as sequin flowers and crystal embellishments on the skirt," tagging Alessandro Michele, the brand's creative director.
On the other hand, Hype Bae noted that the Italian luxury fashion house has "yet to make an official announcement" with their new ambassador for tapping IU. Still, they already referred to her as their "Global Brand Ambassador."
With this, 29-year-old beauty joins award-winning actor and Squid Game star Lee Jung Jae, Hallyu star Shin Min Ah, Japanese actor Jun Shison and more.
Through her decade-long career in the entertainment industry, IU has gained not just the support of the fans but also the trust of various brands.
With this, the singer-actress is considered among the CF queens in South Korea.

The 29-year-old South Korean beauty lit up the red carpet as the Broker team, alongside fellow lead stars Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, Lee Joo Young, and Japanese director Koreeda Hirokazu attended the prestigious festival.
Interestingly, the IU stunned the crowd with her stunning visuals flaunting a $100,000 USD worth of jewelry from the House of Chaumet.
According to AllKpop, the Hotel Del Luna star was wearing an 18-carat white gold necklace with 180 miniature diamonds. The accessory also featured a center stone at 1.50 to 1.70 carats.
