IU will reportedly break the actress market in South Korea with her huge payment for the upcoming Netflix K-drama You Did Good. Allegedly, she will receive 500 million won, or almost $380,000 to 1 billion won or about $760,000 per episode of the new show.

If the news is true, IU will be in line with the highest-paid actresses in South Korea, like Jun Ji Hyun and Song Hye Kyo. However, people behind You Did Good have already shut down the claim.

IU Reportedly Breaks Record with Huge K-Drama Payment

According to AllKpop, Jun Hi Hyun and Song Hye Kyo received 200 million won or more than $150,000 per episode of their shows Mount Jiri, and Now, We are Breaking Up.

If IU is indeed paid 500 million to 1 billion won, she will surpass these two highest-paid Korean actresses with her huge payment.

However, a rep from the show has denied the claims, saying the reports about it are "groundless."

"We ask for your understanding that it is difficult to comment on the actors' appearance fee or the total production cost," Fan Entertainment explained.

"We cannot tell you as it is a secret clause that is part of the contract. We cannot officially disclose that part," Netflix added.
