With all the recent leaks regarding Dragon Ball Super: Broly, it seems like Toei Animation decided to just go with the flow and spoil the fact that a fan-favorite non-canon character is indeed debuting in the movie. That's right, Goku and Vegeta are going to do the fusion dance and become Gogeta, who is spotlighted in this quick 30-second trailer where he takes on the barbaric Broly.
Accompanied by the promotional song Blizzard, seeing Gogeta in action against Broly in this trailer is absolutely breathtaking. The animation in this movie is top-notch and that is in full show here, with some stunning fight sequences featuring the two characters. What's really cool about seeing Gogeta here is that he goes through his base form and two transformations; Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (SSGSS) or Super Saiyan Blue for short.
The design of Gogeta is slightly different since his clothes look more like what Gotenks wore when Goten and Trunks first fused, which isn't a bad thing. Turns out that these are the clothes you get when you use the Fusion Dance and that's fine since the Potara Earrings will fuse the clothes you're wearing.
Gogeta is the non-canon character fans have wanted to be canon for the longest time. Ever since he debuted in Fusion Reborn, fans immediately gravitated towards the character with some even preferring him over Vegito. He looks friggin awesome here and the fact that he needs to transform two more times to take on Broly shows how strong the Legendary Super Saiyan is.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly comes out this December for Japan and January for North America.
