It: Chapter 2 Star James McAvoy Doesn't Like Being Around Bill Skarsgård

There is little doubt that actors form friendships and bonds while working on movies. However, James McAvoy has just admitted that he didn't like being around Bill Skarsgård while they were working on It: Chapter Two.

McAvoy was recently a guest on Good Morning America where he discussed his new film Glass. Not surprisingly, the X-Men: Apocalypse star also spoke about working on It: Chapter Two and confessed that Skarsgård wasn't exactly his favorite co-star.

"He's a lovely guy, and yet he really freaked me out," McAvoy said. "I remember standing there with the rest of the cast, all these adults, and we'd all done weird freaky stuff. And we are all looking at each other going, ‘I don't like being here. I don't like being an actor today.'"

Not surprisingly, McAvoy's dislike for Skarsgård had more to do with his own fears as a child. "I never liked clowns as a kid," he shared. However, he says the Hemlock Grove actor is "amazing."

There is little doubt that it was Skarsgård's performance as Pennywise the Dancing Clown that truly unnerved McAvoy. Based on his reaction to his co-star, we're expecting the villain to be scarier than his initial debut in the first film.

The sequel also stars Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan, Isaiah Mustafa, Bill Hader, James Ransone, and Andy Bean as the adult versions of the Losers' Club. The young stars of the first movie will also have an appearance in Chapter Two.

McAvoy's new movie Glass is currently in theaters worldwide and he will reprise his role as Charles Xavier is Dark Phoenix, which premieres on June 7. It: Chapter Two is scheduled for release on September 6.
