Hwanhee, who got featured with singer Hwayobi in We Got Married, revealed whether the show was scripted or not.
MBC launched the reality-variety show in 2008, introducing four couples in its pilot episode — Alex and Jang Yoon Jeong, Jung Hyung Don and Saori, Crown J and Seo In Young, and Hong Kyung Min and Solbi.
It lasted until episode 373, with Choi Min Young and Jang Do Yeon as the couple.

Is We Got Married Scripted?
Due to the idols and celebrities appearing on We Got Married, the show immediately became a hit series. Amid its success, it was also bombarded with accusations that the show was scripted.
Speaking years after the last episode was aired, Hwanhee revealed the truth about the show on his YouTube channel. He, himself, appeared on the program with Hwayobi from 2008 to 2009.
He watched the reaction of fans and read some of the comments regarding the show. According to Hwanhee, We Got Married videos started appearing on his YouTube feed due to the website's algorithm.
The former Fly to the Sky member noted that he does not remember the things that happened on the show since he recorded his episodes. He then dismissed the claims that the show was scripted.

"A lot of people were curious if this show was scripted or not, but I think I might be one of the top three or maybe even the top celebrity that can't do scripted things. I don't know what happened to the show later but (when I filmed) it wasn't scripted," he went on.
Instead of giving them a script, they were told what the highlight of the episode would be. For example, they were told that the HwanBi couple would have a housewarming party. From there, the main stars would plan what they wanted to do on their own.
According to Hwanhee, We Got Married was a show with the least amount of scripts he ever worked on.
We Got Married PD Also Addresses Buzz
Previously, the show's producing director Choi Yoon Jung also clarified the speculations regarding the nature of the program. Like Hwanhee, the PD said the show never had a script that the couples should memorize.
"It's not relevant to ask to what extent the show is scripted because we consult with the [couples] and ask what they'd like to do, constantly checking their wish list of things they'd like to do when they get married," Choi Yoon Jung went on.
As for the writer's job, they prepared a document containing the list of activities the stars would do, when, where, and with whom. These were also based on the celebrity couple's preferences.
