Back when the Chilean broadcaster Channel 13 aired the Star Wars original trilogy films in 2003, they did an unusual way to cut into the commercials.

Instead of the standard ad break, they inserted Cerveza Cristal beer commercials into the key scenes of the movies and avoided doing breaks during the broadcasts.

However, according to BNN Breaking, George Lucas was not thrilled with the campaign and filed a grievance with the Chilean Council for Self-Regulation and Advertising Ethics.

The judgment was made in Lucas' favor and the commercials were not aired again.

Despite that, it didn't stop the partnership between the channel and Cerveza Cristal as they also inserted beer ads in the broadcasts of other films such as Gladiator and American Beauty.

Recently, X user @heyitswindy brought up the unusual advertising campaign in their post and it became viral as a lot of fans ridiculed and praised the idea for being somewhat clever.

Since then, more fans online have shared clips of the Cerveza Cristal ads that were inserted in various scenes of the films.
