Is Solo Leveling Canceled?
So far, there has been no official announcement to suggest that Solo Leveling might be canceled, at least not before its first season's 12-episode run.
However, the announcement on the anime's official X account that a recap known as "episode 7.5" is going to replace the scheduled release of episode 8 has worried fans.
There are two possible reasons the delay has sparked cancelation fears in the fan community despite delays due to production issues being common for anime.
Specifically, Solo Leveling itself is no stranger to long delays. The anime was first supposed to air in 2023 but ultimately got pushed back to early 2024.
Moreover, a couple of weeks before episode 8's delay, there was a controversy surrounding Studio Ppuri, which is responsible for Solo Leveling's opening.
Ppuri got removed from the anime's credits due to a controversy related to an allegedly offensive frame.
So far, the delay of Solo Leveling episode 8 has not been officially associated with the studio's controversy, nor has the event suggested a complete cancelation of the series.
Of course, whether or not Solo Leveling will continue for a second season is not yet known as well.
What Happened to Solo Leveling Episode 8? When Will It Come Out?
So far, studio A-1 Pictures has not commented on the reason behind Solo Leveling episode 8's delay. The most common cause for such issues is production difficulties.
Since the recap known as episode 7.5 will air on February 25, 2024, in episode 8's place, this means that Solo Leveling episode 8 will be released on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Thankfully, the delay is only a week long as per the latest updates, but it has nevertheless worried and disappointed fans.
