After a series of social media posts and announcements on the show, there seems to be reason to believe that Nina is leaving General Hospital. The latest episode of GH seems to suggest that Nina could be facing something big. But will it be her departure from the show?

Is Nina Leaving General Hospital?
In the recent General Hospital episode released last January 2, 2024, the show teased a big revelation coming on the horizon. This led people to presume that the controversial character played by Cynthia Watros would be leaving the show. But is Nina leaving General Hospital?
The recent episode suggests that Nina plans to confess her insider trading tip to Sonny (played by Maurice Benard). But thankfully, Willow (played by Katelyn MacMullen) suddenly arrives, which causes Nina to hesitate in what she has to say.
This is because Nina fears that Willow will hate her once she confesses. With Willow's arrival, Nina gets sidetracked as she hopes to get help for a surprise for Michael and the kids.
What Willow doesn't know, however, is that Olivia (played by Lisa LoCicero) has already alerted Michael and Ned (played by Wally Kurth) about Nina's SEC tip-off. They work together to stop Lois from letting Sonny know the truth. Sonny suspects it was Ned, which led to his confrontation with Michael.
Later in the episode, Cyrus (played by Jeff Kober) threatens Nina to confess to Sonny, or he'll tell the truth.
We'll have to wait for the next episode to see whether Nina finally confesses to Sonny and how this will affect her in the show. It's possible that this could be Nina's way out of the long-running soap, especially since some fans believe that her story has been dragged on too much.
Who Plays Nina in General Hospital? Will She Be Leaving GH?
Originally, the role of Nina was portrayed by Michelle Stafford when the show made its debut in 2014. But after leaving the soap in 2019, the role was recast and awarded to Cynthia Watros, who has been portraying the con artist ever since.
In recent years, Watros' character has been stirring up conflict in Port Charles. Ever since she awoke from a 20-year coma, Nina turned into a vengeful woman who is looking for ways to repay those who wronged her.
This has put her as a highly disliked character on the show. But it seems like her SEC tip-off could be the tip of the iceberg, at least for Sonny's patience.
Even though there have been plenty of rumors circulating about Watros' departure from the show, nothing has been made official. There was a previous episode released in October 2023 where Nina told Valentin "I'm leaving town."
This doesn't seem to be enough proof that Watros is leaving the show. The actress hasn't posted anything on her social media account too.
We'll have to wait for an official announcement on what the future has in store for Nina in General Hospital.
