Ishura continues to heat up with lots of big fights. Its latest episode is no exception, as it saw a major clash between two powerful individuals. After the episode though, fans are asking: Is Nihilo the Vortical Stampede dead in Ishura?
The show’s 10th episode seems to have answered this as the result of the fight was pretty clear. Given Nihilo’s nature though, some fans think that she’ll come back sometime down the line.

Ishura Episode 10 Sees Dakai the Magpie and Nihilo the Vortical Stampede Clash
The Ishura anime has been an action-packed one as most episodes featured big fights. For its latest episode, the highlight was no doubt the clash between Dakai the Magpie and Nihilo the Vortical Stampede.
As Dakai works under Taren the Punished while Nihilo is under the command of the Aureatia Kingdom, a fight between the two is inevitable. Given their abilities, their clash did not disappoint.
While Dakai wasn’t able to finish Nihilo off at range, he was able to defeat Nihilo in the end. This also proves that Dakai is a capable combatant, thanks to his smarts.
So, Is Nihilo the Vortical Stampede Dead in Ishura?
The episode also shows Nihilo’s head being cut off – a clear sign that she’s dead. But some fans think otherwise, as she’s a revenant.
Nihilo is a revenant created by the Demon King but was then held captive by the Aureatia Kingdom after the Demon King's death. She has essentially been used by the kingdom as a weapon.
Given that she’s a revenant (effectively a living corpse), fans think that Nihilo can still come back if her head can be stitched back. After all, her body has lots of stitches, implying that she may have been cut up before.
Will Nihilo Ever Come Back in Ishura?
Nihilo seems to eventually come back in volume 9 of the Ishura light novel series.
For now, only the first six volumes of the light novel have been released in English, but fans have noted that the latest light novel volume in Japan features an illustration of Nihilo with her head reattached.
Even if she does come back, Nihilo won’t be seen again in the anime’s first season, as it will only be able to cover a limited number of volumes.
Likely, fans will at least see more fights in the final two episodes of the Ishura anime, as the first season is only 12 episodes long.
