The new Great Pretender movie is finally available to stream now, and it features a brand-new cast with an intriguing story. Before watching it, fans are wondering if Laurent Thierry is in Great Pretender Razbliuto.
As one of the fan favorites of the anime series, many fans are hoping that Laurent will at least appear in the movie, even though it follows a different character.

Laurent Thierry’s Whereabouts after Great Pretender, Explained
Laurent Thierry is one of the main protagonists of Great Pretender, the original anime by Wit Studio (of Attack on Titan fame). The series followed Laurent and his partner Makoto as they went on a global adventure.
At the end of the show’s last arc, Laurent is shown to be preparing to con his next target, and that is the President of the United States.
This is no doubt an interesting development for Laurent, though this is not what the new film is about. Instead, Great Pretender Razbliuto directly follows the anime’s cliffhanger ending, which reveals that Dorothy is alive.
Razbliuto follows Dorothy, who has lost her memories. She finds herself on the run as she is being pursued by a crime syndicate she conned before.
Is Laurent Thierry in Great Pretender Razbliuto?
As revealed in the original anime series, Dorothy was Laurent’s former lover, thus it would make sense for him to appear in the movie.
Technically, Laurent does appear in Razbliuto, but his appearance is essentially just a cameo at the end. For most of the movie, the story is focused on Dorothy and the new character Jay.
Still, even if Laurent’s appearance was incredibly short, it does leave things open to interpretation. Thus, some fans believe that Laurent and Dorothy will reunite in a potential third season.
Along with Laurent, Makoto “Edamame” Edamura also makes a cameo appearance, leaving fans to wonder about Abigail Jones.

Does Abigail Jones Appear in Great Pretender Razbliuto?
As Laurent’s second-in-command, Abigail was a major character in the Great Pretender TV anime. Sadly, she does not appear in the Razbliuto movie.
Abigail is mentioned by one of the film’s characters, but there is no info on what she’s up to during the film’s events.
With this new film getting produced, fans are hoping that a proper third season gets released.
