The supernatural anime Akuma-kun delves into the worlds of demons and humans, as well as their distinct personalities. It follows the child prodigy Akuma-kun (Ichiro Umoregi), who appears once every 10,000 years, on his quest with his accomplice, Mephisto III, to achieve the Millennium Kingdom. One particular demon assists Akuma-kun and Mephisto III, but is Gremory good or evil?

Meet Gremory: The Demon of Lust and Greed in Akuma-kun!
In the first episode of Akuma-kun, we meet Gremory, a lovely demon summoned by a desperate mother who's grieving for her dead daughter.
She occupied Hina Asanagi's body, but the girl's sweet personality and gentle attitude engulfed her demonic inclinations to the point where she forgot about them.
Gremory emerged after a long period of concealment when Akuma-kun exorcised Hina.
Akuma-kun then returned her to the demon realm, letting go of her once more. Gremory, on the other hand, has developed a strong attachment to Akuma-kun.
Gremory is drawn to the little boy's apathy and disinterest, and she has since appeared at random in the Millenarianism Research Agency. She can be seen dozing on the couch or chatting with Akuma-kun.
Similar to other demons, Gremory is also fascinated by the legendary Akuma-kun. She knows who Akuma-kun is and what his abilities are, which explains why she would always come back to see him and be by his side.
But don't be misled; Gremory simply wants to be by Akuma-kun's side to devour his heart. She longs to taste Akuma-kun and feast on the boy's human flesh! Yikes!
Interestingly, Akuma-kun isn't bothered by Gremory's presence. In reality, he takes advantage of her powers and connections, frequently enlisting her assistance in solving complex supernatural situations.

So, Is Gremory Good or Evil in Akuma-kun?
Gremory is a demon in Akuma-kun, so anticipate her to be hostile. She solely wants Akuma-kun's heart, which is why she's assisting him.
It is her only reason for staying with Akuma-kun and Mephisto III, and nothing else links her to the two of them.
Because Akuma-kun is aware of Gremory's true nature, she attempts to use her against her own kind.
He is so cunning that he can trick Gremory into believing that he will freely give up his heart to her if she does everything he wants her to do.
Akuma-kun first succeeds in controlling Gremory, but the more he tries, the more his heart is jeopardized. Akuma-kun almost seems to enjoy gambling with Gremory because of his perceived value in her.
Demons love to agree with humans, and Gremory is no exception. She tries her best to finish the end of her agreement with Akuma-kun so she can one day eat his heart.
True enough, in the last episode of Akuma-kun, she punctured Ichiro’s heart and pulled it from his chest, following their agreement!
