Is Elon Musk Going to Cameo in a Star Wars Project?

Disney's Star Wars movies have had some very famous people making cameos from Daniel Craig to Tom Hardy, but now some people are convinced that famous innovator Elon Musk will be making an appearance.

Musk has recently shared an image of himself in what looks to be a Star Wars set:

While there is no confirmation about the set at all, a lot of people have been making their speculations—either Musk is on the set of Star Wars Episode IX, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, or the upcoming theme park Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.

I think the most logical explanation is that Musk is on the set of Mandalorian. It's worth noting that Musk had made a brief cameo in Iron Man 2 which was directed by Jon Favreau. It's very likely that he was allowed to pay a visit to the set and possibly even shoot a small appearance.

Of course, it's also likely that Musk isn't on a set at all, and this is for a completely different project. It's just that with the nature of Star Wars cameos in the past, we wouldn't put it past Lucasfilm to make someone like Musk make an appearance.

For now, Star Wars fans are gearing up for Star Wars Celebration which comes this April. We don't really know what's going to come out, but everyone is hoping for our first teasers for Star Wars Episode IX and Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20. No release date has been set for The Mandalorian.
