Is Chris Hemsworth’s Thor Still Appearing In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3?

Earlier today, word came out that Marvel had decided to bring back in Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi to helm Thor 4, and fans have been going wild. Thor 4 has become the number one trending topic on Twitter's list of Worldwide Trends.

However, while fans celebrate Waititi's return, Thor 4's confirmation poses a huge question for Marvel - is Chris Hemsworth's Thor still appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?

In Avengers: Infinity War, Thor found himself bickering with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and working together with the other members of the Guardians of the Galaxy like Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel). During the final moments of Avengers: Endgame, fans get to see Thor boarding the Benetar with the Guardians of the Galaxy, headed off to the cosmos for their next mission while bickering with Star-Lord over who really is the leader of the team.

Many assumed that this meant that Thor was going to join the Guardians in their space adventures, probably even in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But what's going to happen now that Marvel has Thor 4?

Luckily, Deadline still notes in its report about Thor 4 that Waititi is also set to make an appearance in GOTG 3.

"[Waititi] will make Thor first with Hemsworth, who seems likely to also be headed for an appearance in the next Guardians of the Galaxy, based on the plot line in Avengers: Endgame," the publication writes.

Deadline is a reliable publication that gets info straight from sources within the film industry, so we may still get to see Thor in the next Guardians movie.

Let's wait and see.

Avengers: Endgame is still screening in cinemas.
