Chicken Nugget might seem like an absurd K-Drama mini-series. There's a mysterious machine owned by aliens that can turn people into a chicken nugget. Let's talk about the leader of the aliens, Baek Jung. Is Baek Jung a villain in Chicken Nugget?

Who is Baek Jung in Chicken Nugget?
Before we start, let's clarify something that might confuse you. Ko Baek-Joong (played by Ahn Jae-Hong) is one of the main leads who witnesses Choi Min-A (played by Kim You-Jung) get turned into a chicken nugget.
Meanwhile, Baek Jung is another character in the mini-series played by Kim Tae-Hoon. He appears to be the head cook at the Baek Jung Chicken Nugget shop.
You might remember him as one of the villains in My Demon, in which he starred with Kim You-Jung and one of the chicken nugget shop staff, Jung Soon-Won.
He also starred in Navillera, Kingdom season 2, and Queenmaker.

Is Baek Jung a Villain in Chicken Nugget?
It's easy to think of Baek Jung as a villain in the mini-series, especially since the actor behind the character, Kim Tae-Hoon, has been notorious for serious and villain roles.
In My Demon, he was the one who planned Do Do-Hee's (played by Kim You-Jung) death all along. Because of this, you'd likely think of him as a villain in Chicken Nugget too.
It also doesn't help that in the later part of the show, he turns out to be responsible for the hit-and-run case of the Nobleman Chicken Nugget store's owner.
He appears serious and evil throughout the series, especially with the three other aliens beside him.
So is Baek Jung a villain in Chicken Nugget? The answer is no. He is far from being one. Also, check out his pop culture reference to BTS in episode 9.
Is Baek Jung an Alien in Chicken Nugget?
This brings us to this question. Baek Jung and the three other staff from the Baek Jung Chicken Nugget store are aliens who have been on Earth to look for the two machines. They have been on Earth for 250 years and learned to adapt to life as an earthling.
But as an alien, they are prohibited from harming humans. Otherwise, they would be penalized when they return to their home planet.
Although he killed someone, it was an accident since it was raining very hard and the man rushed to the street after being attacked by a zombie bird.
Baek Jung is also the one who tries to help Baek-Joong and Choi Sun-Man (played by Ryu Seung-Ryong) turn Min-A back to her human form.
