Last week was an exciting time for Daredevil fans as two major characters from the Netflix series were brought back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So what could this possibly mean for the other characters who appeared in the cancelled Marvel shows? The possible return of Colleen Wing has been brought up to Jessica Henwick. However, the Matrix Resurrections star isn't quite sure if the new Iron Fist should be disturbed from her already happy life.
Jessica Henwick is currently promoting The Matrix Resurrections but she also spoke to Syfy about the possibility of reprising her role as Colleen Wing in a future MCU project. Interestingly, the former Game of Thrones star admitted that it's not an easy decision for her.
"I'm so torn... on the one hand yes, because I loved her and I put so much work into her," Henwick said. "And she is one of those characters I tried to protect so hard. I felt really passionate about her story."
But why is Jessica Henwick so unsure about moving forward with Colleen's story. The Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress shared the possibilities that the character's return would entail.
"So yes... I would love to revisit her and get back into her head... on the other hand, we left her in a great place," Henwick said. "She's paired up with Misty, she's got that going on, she's got her powers, she seems to be good at it... she's living her best life. And I know if we bring her back, we have to bring her into conflict. I just want her to have her happy ending."
We certainly understand why Henwick is hesitant about coming back as the new Iron Fist. Although we would love to see more of Colleen in action, her return would also mean new problems that she will need to face. We're hoping that if Colleen is ever introduced into the MCU, she gets another happy ending.
