Infinity War Concept Art Shows Captain America Almost Completely Ditched the Cap Suit

While Avengers: Infinity War didn't have Steve Rogers being referred to as Captain America, he did wear the suit—albeit the colors were all muted to show us that he's left the mantle behind. As it turns out, some concept art had Rogers go all Brad-Pitt-from-World-War-Z and had him ditching the suit completely for a more modern soldier look.

Check it out:

With the movie saying that Captain America had left his title behind, I think I would have preferred to see him wear something like this instead of what we got. With him just wearing a black Cap A suit, it looked like he was still brooding over his loss of the role. This new outfit complete with scarf makes it seem that Rogers really is over it, and he's started a whole new fugitive life for himself.

Then again, maybe it's all about the symbolism, and getting everyone in the audience to remember that he was Captain America. Whatever sells more toys, I guess.

If anything, it looks like Rogers will have to re-assemble the Avengers counting on what Thanos just did to the universe. Besides most of the original Avengers surviving, Rogers will have to team up with the likes of a talking Racoon and a blue alien if they have any hope of ever stopping the Mad Titan.

Avengers 4 comes out May 3, 2019, but everyone is crossing their fingers that Marvel drops the first teaser this month.
