Advanced ticket sales for the highly-anticipated Incredibles 2 are currently out-pacing Wonder Woman and fellow Pixar blockbuster Finding Dory. After 14 years, the Parr family is back in the sequel that's already generating a lot of positive buzz following its world premiere.
As Deadline reports, Fandango claims that Incredibles 2 is the site's top animated pre-seller ever, with numbers currently out-pacing 2016's Finding Dory. The Pixar superhero film is also surpassing the advanced ticket sales of some live-action films like Spider-Man: Homecoming,Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman.
Although advanced ticket sales are not always indicative of the film's commercial success, Incredibles 2 is currently on track for a $140 million opening weekend. Ever since the first Incredibles film was released 14 years ago, fans have been clamoring for a sequel, so it looks like the film will have an incredible box office performance when it hits theaters next week.
Incredibles 2 is set to release in theaters on June 15, 2018.
