Imperial Intro for Star Wars: Squadrons has Vader and the Death of Bail Organa

While EA plans to release the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in a few years, we're going to be getting a smaller game from EA Motive in the form of Star Wars: Squadrons. The game is set to come out this October, and cinematic has leaked giving us the intro of the Imperials in Titan Squadron.

This is Vader's voiceover line in the clip:

"Alderaan chose destruction. They incited rebellion and anarchy; they paid the price. The survivors continue to spread dissent. Find them. Do not rest until the destruction of Alderaan is complete."

With the game taking place around the height of the Galactic Civil War, this part of the story looks to take place near the events of Star Wars: A New Hope. Alderaan is destroyed, but despite the destruction of the Death Star, Vader is still intent on taking down anything that remains of the planet. You even get a visualization of Bail Organa dying when Alderaan is blown up.

While there are a lot of people who prefer the lighstaber slinging adventures of a Jedi, Squadrons looks to be EA's attempt to diversify the Star Wars game catalogue. Some people might not want a starfighter game, but something like this is right down my alley. Hopefully anyone who doesn't like flying will just let people be rather than endlessly complain that "This isn't what we asked for!"

Star Wars: Squadrons becomes available on Oct. 2 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
