Based on the initial teaser, Kamala appears to be a die-hard fan of Captain Marvel and might be the inspiration for the new MCU character. However, surprisingly in real life, Brie Larson and Iman Vellani have already clicked.

In an interview with VFX (via TheDirect), Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani opens up about her relationship with Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson.

Vellani revealed that two days after she was cast in the role, Larson was already asking to meet her. Vellani also shared that Larson 'held her hands throughout everything.'

"I got cast on June 24. Two days after, I get a text from [casting director] Sarah Finn saying, 'Brie wants to meet you,' Vellani explained. "I was like, 'What?' The next day, we did a little Zoom call. It was very, very nice to have her hold my hand throughout everything. I very much made sure I was using her as much as I could because she made herself so available to me. There’s a sense of loneliness that comes with just being the only superhero on set. She definitely dealt with that on Captain Marvel. For me, I was the only person in a superhero costume, which is a little scary. Everyone is gonna look at you when you’re wearing the shiny piece of Spandex. It’s a little intimidating and you feel insecure. You’re in this funky costume doing these weird hand things. Brie was telling me that she’s gone through the same thing. I was like, ’Great. Not alone!' She said, This is normal, and you’re going to have a lot of body pain!"

It's extremely pleasing how Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson was in touch with Vellani as she plays Ms. Marvel. Although the two heroines don't really have a significant relationship in the comics, Marvel Studios will reunite Larson's Captain Marvel and Vellani's Ms. Marvel in next year's The Marvels. Teyonah Paris is also confirmed to join them reprising her role as Maria Rambeau.

Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8.
