Bang Si Hyuk, the chairman of HYBE, extended his help to underprivileged teenagers amid the success of his company.
Before HYBE was created, Bang Si Hyuk launched Big Hit Entertainment after working as a producer under one of K-pop's biggest companies. It was not an easy path for him and the K-pop groups he created, but they stayed and worked together until BTS opened more doors for the company and helped the establishment of the HYBE.
Now, he is included in Korea's 50 Richest People and the only person from the entertainment industry to do so, and he is paying back by helping other people.

Bang Si Hyuk Helps Underprivileged Teenagers
Sports Donga shared the press release penned by the Community Chest Korea, confirming that HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk made a whopping donation recently.
It confirmed that the entertainment mogul donated $3.51 million to the foundation, becoming the 13th donor to make a customized donation fund. The foundation's customized donation fund is worth $702,000 and up, and it will be used according to the donor's will.

Bang Si Hyuk aims to support underprivileged teenagers who do not attend school. With his donation, he wants them to have learning opportunities without suffering from any discrimination.
"I want to give back to society for what I have received, so I have decided to make this donation. Through this process, I have thought about what would be needed to help teenagers grow into individuals who can lead our society. This donation was made to raise funds in hopes that teenagers in desperate need can confidently pursue their dreams," the HYBE chairman went on.

As of press time, Forbes reports that Bang Si Hyuk is currently No. 12 on Korea's 50 Richest and No. 1053 in the Billionaires list.
The magazine estimates Bang Si Hyuk's net worth in 2022 is around $3.3 billion, thanks to HYBE. The music label, which he launched in October 2020, became South Korea's largest IPO in the last three years, the milestone that made him a billionaire.
