The X-Men franchise is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the not too distant future but considering Marvel Studios' slate is currently loaded, they are obviously in no rush to bring the mutants to the fold. The future looks very promising for the X-Men but some fans aren't ready to move on and for Hugh Jackman to be replaced as Wolverine. The Australian actor had the privilege of playing the iconic comic book character for 17 years but fans believe he's still got a lot left in the tank as far as playing Logan is concerned.
Well, it looks like Jackman is still down with the idea of reprising his mutant character in the MCU despite the fact that he officially retired the mantle back in 2017. His latest Instagram stories have once again fueled speculation that he's set for a huge Marvel comeback. On Monday, the Australian actor posted a series of photos related to Wolverine but the biggest "tease" out of all his posts was his photo with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.
Naturally, fans got a little too excited and the rumor mill started spinning once again. Is Hugh actually teasing the arrival of Wolverine in Earth-616? Check out some of the reactions here:

With the MCU diving into the multiverse, there's actually a strong chance that Hugh could appear in the franchise. However, I don't see it as a full-time return. If anything, it could only be a cameo for the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I mean, the idea of Jackman reprising the role full-time sounds great but I'm pretty sure plans call for an actual X-Men reboot with the exception of Deadpool. And given how demanding MCU contracts are, I'm positive Jackman wouldn't want to be in that situation again.
