Howie Mandel, the former Deal or No Deal host, shared his thoughts after Meghan Markle divulged her experience on the game show last week. Unlike Markle's critic, Mandel didn't think Prince Harry's wife was complaining when she said that she felt "objectified" and "reduced to a bimbo" while on the show.

Howie Mandel Didn't Think Meghan Markle Was Complaining With Deal Or No Deal Gig?

Several Deal or No Deal models spoke up and defended the show after Markle's revelation in last week's episode of her podcast Archetypes. According to them, they were not objectified or treated like a bimbo.

Mandel, 66, who hosted the game show, broke his silence in an interview with Us Weekly. For him, there was no issue in what Markle said.

Mandel pointed out that the Suits alum did not say the game show set was a bad place to work. Instead, the Archewell cofounder just shared "what was going on in her mind" while in the NBC series.

"I don't think she's maligning Deal or No Deal," Mandel told the outlet. "I don't think there weren't ever [any] complaints from any of the women. And unlike most shows up until that point, the ladies had more to do. They weren't just pointing out gifts and opening [cases], a lot of times they were mic'd and they had their input."

Mandel agreed with Markle that the women on the shows were "a lot more intelligent and accomplished." Markle said, sadly, it wasn't the focus. Mandel shared that one of the women graduated law school and became a lawyer while filming the show.

"I've never really heard anybody complain and I don't think Meghan is complaining," the Gremlins voice actor said. "I think Meghan just said she wanted to do more. It wasn't fulfilling for her."

How Did Meghan Markle Feel About The Backlash Following Her Deal Or No Deal Statement?

Many reacted negatively to Meghan Markle's statement about Deal or No Deal. However, she is reportedly taking the higher road by choosing to ignore the criticisms.

She just shared what she wanted to say, according to a source. Markle is also not taking back her words.

"This negative backlash is extremely disappointing to Meghan, but she's learned a long time ago not to get too cut up or demotivated by those who wish to dwell in negativity, especially over something so trivial as a job she left many years ago," an anonymous insider told Us Weekly.

"She knows that there are certain critics who will go to great lengths to stir the pot and call her out as a hypocrite in any way possible."

Prince Harry's wife reportedly "doesn't find it fair or easy to deal with" public criticism, but "Her general response is to shrug her shoulder and say it is what it is."
