Classroom of the Elite has a dizzying array of cunning and smart characters. The likes of Ayanokoji are no doubt smart, but some are wondering just how smart Ryuuji Kanzaki is in Classroom of the Elite.

Given that Kanzaki is in a different class, the answer to that question isn’t exactly clear. It doesn’t help that he’s not as big of a player in the anime‘s plot compared to other characters like Kakeru Ryuuen.

The story of Classroom of the Elite centers mainly around Class 1-D’s Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and his machinations to get on top.

Of course, while Class 1-D students are the focus, some other characters also get the spotlight at times. For instance, Class 1-A’s Airi Sakura has some memorable appearances given her top status.

Another intriguing character for many viewers is Ryuuji Kanzaki, one of the representatives of Class 1-B. Despite his status as a representative, he has an interesting personality when interacting with Class 1-D.

Given the competitiveness of the classes, some might think that Kanzaki will be dismissive or hostile to other classes. That’s not the case at all as Kanzaki is quite friendly underneath his serious demeanor.

For instance, Kanzaki is seen being friendly with Class 1-D, going so far as to help Ken Sudo not get expelled from the school through deductive abilities.

Kanzaki is also shown aiding his classmate, Honami Ichinose, as they investigated Ken Sudo’s case.

So, how smart is Ryuuji Kanzaki in Classroom of the Elite? As he’s a member of Class 1-B, it should follow that he’s quite smart.

Kanzaki hasn’t played a big role in the anime after the Sudo case, but it was already proven there that he’s quite an intelligent student.

That’s because he was quickly able to deduce that Ken Sudo could’ve been overpowered by three Class 1-C students.

This proved to be what happened in the Ken Sudo case, showing just how perceptive Kanzaki can be.

As for how he matches up with Kiyotaka Ayanokoji when it comes to intelligence, it’s hard to say given that we haven’t seen much of Kanzaki in the anime so far.

Thus, some are no doubt hoping to see more of him in Classroom of the Elite Season 3 which is airing now, with new episodes being released every week on Crunchyroll.
