"Act Your Age", Fans Express Disappointment Towards Lucy's Immaturity
As fans have pointed out by taking this discussion on Reddit, Lucy tends to act "childish" and "immature" in some of the episodes.
Not only does her story usually revolve around her love life, but her choice of facial expressions is also deemed questionable.
It's one thing to explicitly show frustration over having to "suck it up and be an adult", but it's a whole different thing when Lucy decides to "pout like a four-year-old who didn't get her way."
One fan speculated that General Hospital is being "incredibly dismissive of Lucy," which could explain why her character is being neglected even in her own story.
It is worth mentioning though that another fan pointed out that despite these "childish" and "immature" reactions at her age, her selfishness and controlling personality are what "produces some pretty d*mn good drama and comedy."
While it remains to be seen whether this has something to do with the writing of the script or the acting, fans are hoping this does get addressed soon.
