How Much Robert Downey Jr. Made For His Work on Spider-Man: Homecoming Revealed

Tom Holland may be the main star of Spider-Man: Homecoming but it was Robert Downey Jr. who received a huge paycheck for his work on the film.

As many would expect, Robert Downey Jr. was paid an insane amount of money to reprise his role as Tony Stark in the Spider-Man film.

Today, Variety released a list of A-list actors' salaries from various films they've done, or films they've signed on to work in the future. Of course, part of that list is Downey Jr. who made $10 million for his Spider-Man: Homecoming role.

The most surprising part about this is how much Downey Jr. made for a small amount of screentime in the film.

Out of the film's 2-hour-and-thirty-three-minute runtime, Downey Jr. only appeared for less than 8 minutes of the film, and he made a whopping $10 million for just that! That's about $1 million per minute of screentime in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It's also likely that Robert Downey Jr. is the highest-paid actor for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4.

Avengers: Infinity War is now showing in theaters. Avengers 4 is set to release in theaters on May 3, 2019.
