Time is an essential concept in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. As more time passes, we see Frieren outlive those she cares about, including the hero Himmel and her former comrades. She is a near-immortal elf, but how long do elves live in Frieren? Do they have a life span similar to humans?

How Old Is Frieren?
No one would suspect Frieren as a near-immortal elven mage who has lived centuries, perhaps more.
She looks like a young girl in puberty, at the age of 12–13, but in reality, she is hundreds or thousands of years old already; she can’t even remember herself.
Because of this, Frieren doesn’t appreciate time as much as a human does.
She’s not worried about running out of time like Fern and Stark are, who have been constantly concerned about Frieren’s sluggish behavior whenever they stay in a particular town for quite a while.
Frieren is not the only elf in the anime who has lived for centuries.
There’s Monk Kraft, whom she first encountered in a cabin during their traverse in the snowy mountains in the Northern Countries. He looks like he's in his 20s, which means he’s probably older than Frieren.
Based on both of their looks, fans speculate that elves reach maturity at some point and will stay that way forever.
It is similar to the half-immortal, half-human concept in Twilight, where Renesmee Cullen matures at some point and stays that way for hundreds and thousands of years.
Frieren Has Lived For at Least a Millennium
Let’s get one thing straight: Frieren has lived for at least a millennium. She has been around for so long that she has seen so many things happen, from the death of her mentor Flamme to the defeat of the Demon King, the deaths of Himmel and Heiter, and even the rise of the new Demon King’s army.
The number of sculptures the townspeople made for the hero’s party is one of the many proofs that Frieren had been on an endless quest to acquire magic and defeat demons.
She is nearly ageless; we can’t determine for sure just how long she has been around.
But while elves live a very long time, their kind are now extinct. Unlike humans, who can reproduce easily, elves don’t feel the need to reproduce, let alone share romantic feelings.
Worse, Frieren’s village has also been taken down by the former demon king who ordered the ambush, leaving Frieren the last elf of her kind.
So, How Long Do Elves Live in Frieren?
Unfortunately, there’s no accurate measure of how long elves live in Frieren. They have no particular life span, so we can't say that Frieren can live for a hundred or thousand more years, and then die.
