What Exactly Is Code Eve in Metallic Rouge?
Code Eve is a program that can disable the Asimov Code within every existing Nean in Metallic Rouge.
The code exists to liberate all Neans. With this, Neans can make their decisions and free themselves from abusive human employers.
Eva Christella created Code Eve in secret but was later discovered by Dr. Yunghart after she passed away.
Eva Christella is a genius bio-physics scientist who was also Dr. Yunghart’s apprentice.
She refused to give the Code Eve data to the Commission for the Welfare of Artificial Species and destroyed it.
In reality, Eva hid the Code Eve data inside the ID of the Proto-Neans, better known as the Immortal Nine.
Later in the story, Dr. Yunghart discovers Eva’s secret from her leftover documents.
He then began searching for the Immortal Nine but was murdered in the process, most likely because the Proto-Neans were aware of the code within them.
So, How Is Rouge Related to Code Eve in Metallic Rouge?
Rouge Redstar is related to Code Eve, or, in other words, part of Code Eve.
She is the final key for the Neans to achieve freedom. Her ID can decode Code Eve given that all of the Immortal Nine’s IDs have been obtained.
We all know that Rouge Redstar’s father is Dr. Yunghart, but episode 8 reveals that her mother and co-creator is also Professor Eva Christella.
From the very beginning, Rouge has been a part of Code Eve. She was an experimental subject that was different from the Proto-Neans.
According to Yunghart’s observations, Rouge has inverted her emotional and physical growth. She also has taste buds and can have unnecessary nutrients that have no other meaning than pleasure.
With the conflict between Neans and humans, Rouge wants to protect world order for the sake of both humanity and Neans’ freedom.
She is fighting the Immortal Nine not because she wants to strip them of their freedom but because she wants to protect the world order.
