How Ezra Bridger Might Appear in Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2

Last week, word came out that Rosario Dawson would be playing Ahsoka Tano in the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. The news came as a surprise to Star Wars fans – no one was really expecting any major announcements from Lucasfilm with COVID-19 affecting the film and television production.

Now, with Dawson set to play the live-action version of everyone's favorite former Jedi Padawan, fans have begun to wonder whether or not the second season of The Mandalorian might include an appearance from Star Wars Rebels' central character, Ezra Bridger.

Though she isn't really part of the Ghost team, Ahsoka appears in a few episodes of Star Wars Rebels and forms a bond with Ezra and his friends. During the end of the series, Ezra disappears, and so Ahsoka goes looking for him in the Unkown Regions together with the Ghost crew member, Sabine Wren.

While we can't be entirely sure about Ahsoka's role in The Mandalorian, Comicbook.com suggests that Jon Favreau's live-action Star Wars series may very well pick up the dangling plot thread from Rebels. Favreau could have Mando (Pedro Pascal) head over to the Uknown Regions to hid Baby Yoda from the Empire. There, they could run into Ahsoka and Sabine who continue their search for Ezra. Perhaps they find Ezra together.

It's interesting to speculate what might happen in the series. However, fans have to remember that fan theories and speculations rarely come true. Let's just wait and see what Favreau has planned for Ahsoka in The Mandalorian.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 is set to premiere later this year.
