South Korea has created some pretty good zombie apocalyptic movies over the past few years. To give a spin to the genre, they have created a new survival reality show. But how does Zombieverse work?

By now we already know that Zombieverse is not a scripted show and that the zombies in the show are not real. But how do the contestants on Zombieverse fight their way to safety without knowing these things?

In this article, we'll be breaking down the different Zombieverse rules to survive the show.

Rule #1: Don’t Make a Sound

In the first episode of the show, the contestants learn that the zombies only react to sound. There is a certain decibel level that the zombies react to. So when they hear something noisy, they follow the direction of the sound without hesitation.

Of course, there are exceptions to this, such as the zombie at the gas station in episode one wearing a blue shirt.

Unlike the other zombies who get distracted by the sound, he tends to have very sensitive hearing. So even if Lee Si-young is not making noise while pumping gas, he chases her.

It is later revealed that screaming will wake up the fast zombies. Before this zombie came out, Tsuki was screaming as she ran through the gas station.

Unfortunately, his sensitivity cannot compensate for his lack of steering. While he is able to spot the contestants, he cannot make a dash for them right away.

Rule #2: Look for Infected Survivors

If there is something we learned from previous zombie movies, it's that we should always be on the lookout for someone who gets scratched or bitten.

In Zombieverse, however, another clue to look for is the eyes of the survivors. In the second episode of the show, another group of survivors makes sure to check the eyes of the first group.

They are looking for white pupils and irises before letting the survivors into their hideout.

Rule #3: The Zombies Can't Be Harmed

Every zombie movie will tell you to shoot the zombie in the head twice to make sure that the undead stay dead. Unfortunately in Zombieverse, this isn't the case.

Since the show is unscripted, the zombies are actually just actors. So instead of harming the zombies, the contestants will have to try to get away from them without harming them.

Rule #4: They’ve Got to Work Together

Lastly, the trick to getting through a zombie apocalypse is to work together. In Zombieverse, the contestants have to work together to complete their missions.

Since they cannot harm the zombies, the contestants have to look for other ways to stay safe and avoid getting bitten.

As they go on a supply run, the contestants learn that they can just push the zombies away. This allows them to stay safe as they go through the aisles and collect food for everyone in the group.

Hopefully, they continue to work together so they can stay safe and avoid becoming a zombie's next snack.
