Tokyo Revengers is now making its name a staple in anime series following the popularity of its manga and it is about how Takemichi would be doing his life over time traveling in order to save Hinata, his ex-girlfriend, from a gruesome death in the hands of the Tokyo Manji Gang. So, how exactly did Hinata die?

Based on the manga series of Ken Wakui which recently nabbed the 44th Kodansha Manga Award under the shōnen category in 2020, Tokyo Revengers continues its reign over both the manga and the anime that it even scored its very own live-action film. The anime adaptation by Liden Films has 24 episodes in a double-cour which means that there would be no break in between the two cours.

Releasing new episodes weekly through Crunchyroll with the premium subscribers having the privilege of a week of an earlier release for the price of $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year after which the episodes are released for free, Tokyo Revengers has been confirmed to have an English dubbed version under the same streaming platform.

How did Hinata die in Tokyo Revengers?

On the very first episode of Tokyo Revengers, Takemichi was so lost in his life that it seems he has no direction at all as everything is failing to make him wonder what possibly went wrong and when. Just when he thought he reached rock bottom, life dug deeper and bested him when he found out that his ex-girlfriend, the only girl he loved, Hinata Tachibana, died in the hands of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Takemichi had to escape to another city which led to his break-up with Hinata. Ten years after, in the report that Takemichi saw on television dated July 4, 2017, Hinata was killed when a brawl between two gangs happened, one of which is the Tokyo Manji Gang. She was with her brother, Naoto, who was unfortunate to be in the wrong place and at the wrong time.

As Mikey turned evil after the provocation of Kisaki Tetta who did so after the death of Ryuugjuu Ken, it led to the death of Hinata, a close friend of Kisaki. With Kisaki being the leader of Toman, and having an altercation with Mikey would ultimately result in the death of Hinata during a brawl, it was Takemichi's plan for them never to meet. However, it still happened as Kisaki became a third division captain replacing Pachin.

Tokyo Revengers releases new episodes every Saturday via Crunchyroll at 2:07 AM JST. These are the release times depending on your geographic location: 11:07 AM PT, 1:07 PM CT, 2:07 PM EST, and 7:07 PM BST.
