Fans who are looking up Olivia Cooke and Emma D'Arcy on Google have discovered a stunning surprise connected to the actors' viral meme.
On Friday, fans who were Googling Olivia Cooke and Emma D'Arcy discovered something unexpected as they looked up the actors. As soon as the results are revealed, the animated hands of Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen are shown toasting each other. Cooke's character is featured holding a martini while D'Arcy's Rhaenyra has a "Negroni Sbaglitato with prosecco in it."
It's a delightful nod to the viral video featuring a clip of Olivia Cooke and Emma D'Arcy talking about their favorite drinks. D'Arcy's sultry description of a Negroni Sbagliato has since transformed into a meme that the LGBTQ community has fully embraced.
Not surprisingly, Emma D'Arcy is aware that they have some newfound popularity on social media and they are not quite sure how to explain it to their mother.
“I keep thinking I should tell my mum that I’ve become a meme in the hope that she’ll be happy for me, but I’d have to explain what a meme is, and I’ve decided it’s too much effort,” D’Arcy told The New York Times. They then revealed that they were not being completely serious during the interview.
“I feel so embarrassed. Because in those interviews, when we’ve been at it for six hours, I’m honestly only trying to make Olivia laugh,” D'Arcy said.
The latest episode of House of the Dragon is now available on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 10 is titled The Black Queen and will premiere on HBO on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
