Himmel Is the Most Popular Character in Frieren Beyond Journey's End, According to New Popularity Poll

The Frieren: Beyond Journey's End anime is over, but the manga continues. In fact, the manga recently held a popularity poll. Unsurprisingly, Himmel is once again the most popular character based on the second Frieren popularity poll.

While Himmel taking the top spot is not surprising, the new popularity poll is interesting, as it has been split into two.

Frieren’s Second Popularity Poll Is Split into Two

Since the anime premiered in the fall 2023 season, Frieren has quickly become one of the most popular fantasy titles among anime and manga fans. Thus, many were sad to see it end with its 28th episode.

Coinciding with the anime’s finale was the announcement of the new popularity poll results for the manga.

The first popularity poll was held between September to October 2022, and it saw Himmel take the top spot, with Frieren and the Mimic in second and third place, respectively.

As polls like these typically get lots of votes for minor characters (likely as a joke among fans), the second popularity poll was split into two.

Firstly, there’s a poll that lets fans vote an unlimited number of times. Meanwhile, the other poll only counts unique votes where each person can only vote for a character once.

Himmel Tops Second Frieren Popularity Poll

The unlimited vote poll saw Himmel the Hero take the top spot. This makes sense given how Himmel has continued to be a constant presence through flashbacks.

What’s surprising is that Aura the Guillotine is in second place. Her high placement was likely influenced by her popularity in the anime.

Unique Votes Only Popularity Poll Sees Frieren Take the Top Spot

As for the unique vote poll, it was Frieren who finally took the top spot, though Himmel was right behind her.

What’s funny about this poll is that, despite counting only unique votes, the Mimic still took the fourth spot ahead of Stark.
