It's no secret that The Flash movie has been in development for a while now. After several writers and directors that were assigned for the project, the movie finally lands IT director Andy Muschietti, and here's why he thinks now is the best time to work on the upcoming movie.

"Honestly, there's so little I'm allowed to say about Flash," Muschietti told ComicBook at the Birds of Prey press event. However, what he could share to the press is his reason for doing the project, which is for the simple reason that he "loves" it. "I'm having a blast working on it. And that is about all I'm allowed to say," he teased.

While the director can't say much about the film, he did reveal in a previous interview that he's set to deliver a "different version of Flashpoint" than what the fans expect. Muschietti didn't expand on that comment, although the thought of him taking quite a different approach to the story is already intriguing to the fans.

In addition, the DCEU version of The Flashrecently appeared in Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 4. Showrunner Marc Guggenheim wasn't aware of the film's draft and admitted that he was "writing blind" for the scene. However, they did have an approval from Warner Bros. regarding the show's cameo. After all, it was their idea to put Ezra Miller in the Arrowverse crossover.
