We might see Mysterio appear in the Spider-Man movie universe soon, and according to recent rumors, Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play the villainous role.

Mysterio has the ability to create various illusions, and Gyllenhaal might end up playing Spidey's nemesis. Now, artist BossLogic illustrated what the actor could look like in the film, and the adaptation looks pretty straightforward.

BossLogic came up with two versions: the first features Gyllenhaal's face in the classic Globe filled with magical energy; the second shows a more obscured face, and the globe is filled with a lot of smoke. The image looks theatrical, and it looks like the actor has what it takes to pull off the role. Check it out:

"Wanted to make a quick one today for the post," BossLogic tweeted. "Personally I'm still not too sure on this role for him, he is a dope actor and would love to see Jake in a role he could dive deep into. That being said, if they do the character justice writing wise then I'm all for it."

Hopefully, Sony will make Mysterio's signature globe a part of his look. This would be Gyllenhaal's first superhero movie role, though he starred in the live-action adaptation of Prince of Persia.

Avengers: Infinity War is still showing in theaters. the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will be released on July 5, 2019.
